Financial Results for the third quarter/ nine months ending 31st December, 2007
GNFC Reports Q-3 Net Profit of Rs. 123.76 crore, and Nine Months' Net Profit of Rs. 320.13 crore which are highest ever profits in the history of the Company.

The fertilizers and chemicals major GUJARAT NARMADA VALLEY FERTILIZERS CO. LTD. has posted impressive, ever highest results for the third quarter/ nine months of FY 2007-08 ended 31st December, 2007.

Announcing the highlights of results at Gandhinagar, on 29th January, 2008, Dr. Manjula Subramaniam, Chairperson of the company, released details on performance of the company:

In the nine months under review, the company achieved

  • The Net Sales at Rs. 2,546.48 crore which is 55% higher over the corresponding previous period of Rs. 1,642.12 crore.
  • The Profit Before Tax- PBT- which is 87% higher at Rs. 486.39 crore as against Rs. 260.21 crore of corresponding period.
  • Earning Per Share (EPS) which is at Rs. 20.60 as against Rs. 11.82 of corresponding period.

Shri Balwant Singh, Managing Director of the Company gave further  details on performance of the company:

In the quarter under review, the company achieved  

  • The Sales at Rs. 831.65 crore which is 59% higher over the corresponding previous quarter of Rs. 523.08 crore.
  • The Profit Before Tax- PBT- which is 136% higher at Rs. 186.85 crore as against Rs. 79.28 crore of corresponding quarter.
  • Earning Per Share (EPS) which is at Rs. 7.96 as against Rs. 3.56 of corresponding quarter.

The figures of the current three/ nine months' period ended 31-12-2007 include the figures of erstwhile Narmada Chematur Petrochemicals Ltd (NCPL), a subsidiary of the Company, which is amalgamated with the Company with effect from 15-02-2007.
